Hello from Neviti Islànd Fiji. It is Sunday Feb 11 and we have had our second night of seven on the Fijian Princess.

The sun is out and we are on the sun deck now. We did start out with Cyclone warnings when we left the harbour at Denarau. Very rough seas and some rain up to this point but we did get in some snorkeling. We also went to an island village and visited their school and church. Today the passengers have been invited to the church services.

We have met a lot of interesting people on this trip so far. Peter and Julie from Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Like typical Aussies we have been invited to come stay with them and do the fishing, diving and snorkeling scene with them.....really thinking about It!

We have about 40 plus passengers aboard with 28 crew and they are all dedicated to making this voyage very enjoyable. Our stateroom and bathroom are smaller than on he Odyssey, which interestingly was previously part of the Blue Lagoon fleet. Apparently the Odyssey had her staterooms doubled in size for her new career at Chuuk Lagoon.

We were thankful to have sea sickness patches for the first few days given the heavy seas.  Thankfully the seas have calmed as the cyclone (tropical lows) are moving away from us.  Calm waters today with sun so now it is like the travel brochures.

We had bollywood last night after dinner...great fun! Naomi has driven the boat with the captain and this afternoon we will be taken to a beach for the afternoon.  Sunscreen and hats will be the key plus lots of water to stay hydrated.
